Jetter AG offers special solutions for drive technology
including for smaller series

As a systems provider for control technology, Jetter AG in Ludwigsburg is able to
offer its customers automation solutions that match their needs perfectly. This is
especially the case in the field of drive technology. Standard solutions are often
inadequate where installation space is limited or where there are other specific
requirements for motor performance (including at increased ambient temperature
and in harsh industrial environments). These cases require provider flexibility,
especially when invaluable minimum order quantities are not supposed to be
involved.

A specially developed servo motor is used in the takeout mechanism of the highly
compact and newly developed glass container production machine of the
company Emhart Glass based in Cham (Switzerland). Each and every millimeter
was grappled with when designing the motor length as space is extremely limited
here. As a result a servo motor was developed in collaboration with Jetter that
meets these requirements. In addition to a special stator winding, the
adjustments also affected the bearings, housing and motor connection. The servo
motor is highly compact with a flange dimension of 140 x 140 millimeters and an
overall length of 118 millimeters. This is with a stall torque of 9.5 Newton meters
and a peak torque of 40 Newton meters. In combination with the JetMove servo
amplifiers it can be seamlessly integrated into the Jetter control system and
optimally parameterized from there. Combinations are also possible with servo
amplifiers from third-party providers.

Special servo motor versions can be used wherever specific requirements or
environmental conditions prevail. These requirements can be found in robotics, in
handling machines, packaging machines and in the watch and semiconductor
industries.
