Brushed DC Motor
MSS Series DC Servo motors
MAVILOR's axial air gap dish armature is specially suited for high response servo drives. High and smooth torque to inertia ratio, non cogging torque low speed velocity control makes MAVILOR the motor of choice for the most exacting applications. The MAVILOR MSS Series servomotors provide a 20% increase in power to weight and volume ratios and a 20% increase in power rate and acceleration capability over previous designs. |
PITTMAN Introduces Configurable CAD Models for DC Brush Motors
PITTMAN Motors, a division of AMETEK Precision Motion Control, has introduced configurable DC motor 3D model downloads. The 3D model system is an online system through the PITTMAN website that allows an engineer to fully configure a DC brush motor with a wide variety of optional components such as planetary gearboxes and spur gearboxes, brakes, and encoders. |

70 Watt Brushless DC Motor with gear and encoder options – Power Pack in a compact size
maxon motor’s newly designed 70 Watts flat brushless motor delivers a max. continuous torque of 130 mNm at an efficiency of up to 85%. The new motor in its 45 mm diameter is available with Hall sensors and comes in four windings (24, 30, 36, 48 V). It can be combined with more than 54 different planetary and spur gearheads. For motion control purposes, maxon provides a wide variety of servo controllers and positioning controllers to select from. |
Go Green and Maximize Performance with Portescap’s New Athlonix™ Brush DC Motors
Optimized coreless design delivers unparalleled power density and speed-to-torque performance in compact, energy efficient package Portescap introduces Athlonix™ high-power density brush DC motors. These compact, high-efficiency endurance motors deliver unrivaled speed-to-torque performance in a compact lighter weight package (15-53 grams depending on frame size) with output power up to 9 watts. |
Smaller, lighter package delivers higher continuous output power than comparably sized DC motors
Portescap has expanded its family of brush DC motors by introducing 35GLT motors. These RoHS-compliant motors have a 35mm housing and weigh just 360 grams, while delivering a 40% increase in torque-to-volume ratio when compared with standard iron core motors of similar frame size. The maximum continuous torque approaches 150 mNm in the 35GLT, a 25% improvement over similar conventional models. They are available with five winding types in the voltage range of 24V to 90V, and are cost-effectively customizable for use with a range of gearboxes and encoders. |
A 40mm brushless motor with a formula for high power density
Maxon’s new EC 40 is characterized by high quality materials and high performing specifications. The motor features a neodymium permanent magnet, stainless steel housing and welded flanges. It features a very flat speed/torque gradient (about 3.6 rpm/mNm), mechanical time constant 2.1 ms, permissible speed 18’000 rpm, and efficiency of 89%. The ironless winding offers extra quiet running and high stall torque. |
Lo-Cog Brush DC Gearmotors from Pittman
PITTMAN Series GM8000 brush-commutated DC gearmotors from Servo2Go.com feature 11-slot skewed armatures to minimize magnetic cogging (or reluctance torque) and promote quiet and smooth operation. Series GM8000 gearmotors are available with a range of 11 standard reduction ratios from 6.3:1 to 187.7:1. Peak torques up to 175 oz-in can be achieved with wide-face gear options. Armatures are skewed to minimize magnetic cogging, even at low speeds, and windings are resin-impregnated for greater reliability in incremental motion applications. Two-pole permanent magnet stators are constructed of ceramic magnets enclosed in heavy-gauge steel return rings. Diamond-turned commutators ensure maximum brush life. |
Gearheads - Modular Spindle Drives GP 22 S and GP 32 S by Maxon
Mechanical engineering often faces the task of converting rotational movements into powerful linear movements. The associated development costs can now be cut dramatically by using modular spindle drives in maxon motor’s modular system. The GP 22 S and GP 32 S gearheads, specifically adjusted for spindles, are designed to withstand high loads, and the special spindle intake means that customer-specific spindles can be assembled with ease in significantly less time. |
